448 SYI – Asbestos Sheet Production Facility
This project was executed for Shayadri Ind Ltd at SIPCOT, Perundurai, Erode. It's an A-type multispan structure spanning 86,000 Sq.Ft , built specifically to Asbestos Sheet production specifications, with a total tonnage of 400 MT.
Challenges Faced
Building Through a Pandemic
The project was executed during the pandemic period, adding logistical difficulty to an already complex structure consisting of a Roof Monitor and AC sheet louvers. The team fixed AC sheets across a 1,61,000 Sq.Ft area at a height of 12 metres, despite heavy rainfall.

- Executing the project safely and on schedule during the pandemic
- Fixing AC sheets over 1,61,000 Sq.Ft at 12-metre height amid heavy rainfall
- Using purlins and their connections to bear AC sheet loads, instead of built-up purlins
- Carrying out steel erection in parallel with ongoing civil work and machinery installation
- Operating cranes safely around large excavation pits at the site, achieving zero accidents
